If we are asked to solve the SDE for Xt, does it matter if we solve for XT given Xt or do we have to use Xt given X0 as in the solutions to (ii)? Thank you
It doesn't matter - both are correct. Having zero as the lower limit of the ensuing integral makes the algebra easier to work with, so I'd go with that.
