Assignment grades

Can someone please explain to me how mark for assignment translates into grades and what the grades actually mean in terms of your chances of success in an exam.

Thanks

Markers are given guidelines for what grade gets assigned but there aren't any hard and fast rules and it differs by subject.

In assessing how you're doing you might like to share your marks with other students in your office (if any). But that's obviously a small sample. If you go to tutorials that may give you a feel for your relative strength. There was some discussion on this site somewhere about the possibility that ActEd would publish some form of distribution of marks which could be a guide. Not seen anything for definite yet.

At the end of the day, its only exam day that counts. Always be honest with yourself about your test conditions. 100% using the text won't guarantee you a pass.

Good luck!
