At the end of Solution 3.7, there is a note stating that: To obtain an estimate for the probability using 1.12 df,.......... . Using a similar method to the above gives P((chi-square (alpha=2)<=4.6640) approx equal to 0.9261....... How do I get this value: P((chi-square (alpha=2)<=4.6640) approx equal to 0.9261? From the formula book, the working I used is: P(chi-square(alpha=2)<=4.605)= 0.9 P(chi-square(alpha=2)<=5.991)= 0.95 Therefore P(chi-square(alpha=2)<=4.6640)= 0.9+((4.664-4.605)/(5.991-4.605))*0.05 = 0.9021 Which is not the same as the solution. Please advise. Thank you.
