Asking for help

Is there anything "off-limits" which we can't ask the assessors?
eg. can they help with excel formulae which don't work for some reason etc.

When I attended, questions were strongly encouraged (so much so that there was often a queue). The worst that could happen is that you use up all of your 5 marks and/or they say they can't answer the question. I think they mentioned that they only had one or two cases previously where someone asked too many and was told to stop asking. There are many advantages to asking.

Remember to keep it simple. It's possible that if you try some fancy excel trickery:
a) you run the risk of confusing yourself (the day gets stressful at times);
b) you'll need to get the examiner to come look at your computer, rather than going to him/her at their desk.
c) the examiner may not be familiar with that aspect of excel, although they will probably point you in a simpler direction (but this may take time to redo).
