Hi Please explain that why does the examiner's solution calculate T>3.466 and what does T represent in this solution? I didnt quite understand the solution.
The examiners are interpreting 'likely' to mean that the probability is more than 50%. So T represents the median of the random variable that represents time spent in the 1-policy state, ie the median of an Exp(0.2) random variable.
