April 2011

Hi,

I just thought I'd check to see if anyone had started this thread, and someone has! The exam is a distant memory now, but looking over the paper again, my thoughts were that is wasn't an unreasonable paper but there were a couple of tricky questions - I struggled with time but I always do; resolving the liquidity problems for the sandal manufacturer was a tough question, I just don't think I generated enough points; I went blank on the bond default question using the Gumbel copula which I found frustrating but it was only 3 marks; and the question on constructing the risk measure for me was the trickiest question, I just didn't know what to write for that and I made maybe a maximum of 3 distinct points.

Based on the above, it's not looking good for me :(
