April 2005 Question 7 Variance of product

    Hi,

    How is the variance of the total claim amount in this question obtained?

    Hi

    It's calculated using the formula for var(S) given on page 16 of the Tables. However, this isn't covered in Subject CS1. It's actually in CS2 now.
