Hoping someone can shed some light on this...

The q states that the scheme has closed to new entrants and accrual.( So the scheme now has deffereds and pensioners.)

The q asks for 4 actions....the examiners report gives 6 possible actions.
4 of these say "may/may not prevent the need for cessation of accrual"

Im confused as to why this has even been considered (say half mark each.....thats 2 marks) when the q stated the scheme had already closed to accrual ?

Hope that makes sense ?

Im concerned about being told an action has occured, being asked what action to take next......and being expected to answer with "the original action was not necesary..."

Thanks

Hi AAStuck

I agree that this wouldn't normally be something that would get you marks.

But note the unusual situation - a not particularly strong sponsor, but an extremely strong parent.

So, it may not be unreasonable in this situation for the parent to step in.

Best wishes

Stuart
