    Could somebody remind me of the explanation for y bar dot dot?

    Page 26 of the tables, used to calculate sum of squares.

    The dot notation means a normal summation over the letter that's replaced.

    So y dot dot means we have summed over the i's and j's - that is we've summed everything.

    Don't need y bar dot dot for SS calculations. But this would be the overall sample mean for all values.
