Actuarial Risk Management Award

Discussion in 'CA1' started by Prosper Matiashe, Feb 16, 2017.

  1. Is there anyone who knows the nature of the Actuarial Risk Management Award which is awarded to the best performing student for CA1?

I would want to know if its just a certificate, or it has a monetary amount and is there an awards event that the winner will attend?

Also what is the nature of the Charles M Stern Award, Worshipful Company of Actuaries Award and the ERM Award?

Hi Prosper: it is great that you are aiming high!

I am pretty sure that all of these awards have a monetary prize. There is a little more detail about them on the IFoA website (see link below), and that is who you should contact if you need more detailed info.

I don't believe that there is a specific awards event, but often if the winner is attending another event (e.g. new qualifiers day) then the prize will be awarded there.

Have written an email to them asking for more information.
