    Hi
    Just a small doubt in Q 11 part iv),the H1 hypothesis of women changing energy providers more frequently than men is stated as beta1<0.
    Pls explain how beta1<0 represents the hypothesis.

    The hazard here is that of changing provider. We want to test whether the hazard for females is greater than the hazard for males, ie females change provider more often than males. Since females form part of the baseline group, we need to test whether the parameter associated with being male is negative. This is because exp(-ve value) < 1 whereas e^0=1.
