Is anyone else a fan of the New A1 Grand Prix format.

I watched the first one two weeks ago and am watching the second race now. I think it is much more fun than the F1 (Although when Robbie Kerr for GBR crashes off the race loses it a little bit :) )

I think they need to iron out a few problems, but otherwise it's been fun to watch.

Yip, watched it... and supporting South Africa.

Don't know if I agree with the 1-person-per-corner-in-the-pits rule. Waaaaay to many problems there. We'll just have to see later in the season.

I think the pit-stops are great.

Of course, the fact that the British team always do so well has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that all the cars were made in Britain :D

Whoever worked that one out deserves a pat on the back!!

Seriously though, I've never really got into Formula One. I sometimes watch it for the starts as they are the only exciting bits, but otherwise nothing ever seems to happen, and it goes on for ever.

At least with this new race format it is a lot shorter so people are a little more desperate to over-take, and the same person isn't dominating each race just cos his car is faster. Some people are better at different circuits and on different days and so everyone seems to have a chance.

Plus supporting your country is a lot better than supporting some random driver because you like the sound of his name or think ferrari's look cool...

It's not perfect, the safety car is needed far too often and that has really spoilt some of the races so far, but otherwise I think it is pretty good.

    Come on Robbie Kerr!!
