i have been doing some revision and noticed some variation in the number of days a year has (not a leap year).in some instances, its 365 days and some 365.25 days.which should we stick to? is there a penalty should i choose 365 instead of 365.25? Please advise
thanks

Can't imagine even the Institute being so harsh as penalising this!

Generally the 365.25 gets used when working with PHI and 365 otherwise.

But don't lose sleep over it. They'll be bigger hurdles to jump

Hi there.

If they give you calender years, such as 2000, 2001, you must know that 2000 and every four years thereafter is a leap year with 366 days. Otherwise it's 365 days.

If they don't give the calender years, use 365.25.

Erik.

thanx

thank you
