I am waiting to see the recent paper for SA3 on the actuaries.org.uk website. I am also wondering whether I should come out of retirement/hibernation now to retake in Sep 2009 or wait for the new syllabus in 2010. Is there anything else I need to consider over and above: motivation, costs inlcuding courses, improved or reduced re-employment prospects, costs post-qualification such as CPD, higher subscriptions etc, opportunity cost (what I could be doing instead of studying), risk of failure again, arrival date of 2010 courses - if the course arrive in August 2009 then it could be good news to get an extra four month's study against retakers?
they are there now! No need to resspond thanks! http://www.actuaries.org.uk/students/exams/preparing/exam_papers/2008_papers2
