In part (ii) of this question 'The cost over 2 years of treating a patient who contracts the disease is given by:
    £1000 \(sum_0^2 S(t) h(t)\) or £1000 \(sum_0^2 f(t)\)

I wonder why we're using f(t) not F(t) here? i'd think that f(t), the pdf is used for continuous models only eg for the exponential model? here, we have the KM estimates of the F(t) and S(t).

    thank u.
