Hi tutors,

I don't understand where the equation came from in the solution to q6.4. Very confused re where 11,000 came from etc. I would also appreciate the step by step integration. I know integration is assumed knowledge for this exam but would appreciate a full walk through.

My marker did not supply any extra help either so I am totally lost.

Have a look at the attached explanation. I've written it out very step-by-step for you.

(These sorts of questions are indeed assumed knowledge for ST8, in fact this could just as easily by a CT6 question. Therefore, I do recommend you practise a bit of integration before the exam.)
