CM1B 'open book' policy?

If I'm not mistaken, the CM1B exam is 'open book'. What exactly does this extend to, and where can I find the relevant instructions for this exam?

If you're sitting the exam, you should have had an email from the Institute with details of the exam procedures. There is also some guidance on the CM1 and CM2 exams here: https://www.actuaries.org.uk/studying/curriculum-2019/actuarial-mathematics

If you have any questions after reading this, then I would recommend that you contact the Institute directly, as they're responsible for all exam procedures and administration.

You wouldn’t be the first person to be confused about the IFoA exam communication. How can this not be clear a few days before the exam? It’s atrocious
