Badging is referred to in Chapter 17 of the course notes as an alternative to reinsurance where a specialist insurer is used for certain lines of business, similar to a "white labelling" solution. Are there any case studies or examples of such arrangements in the UK or elsewhere?

I haven't been able to find an example of existing insurer (that sells other products) using a specialist health care insurer to provide healthcare products. However, there are plenty of examples where a company provides insurance but uses an existing insurer's product to do this. The supermarkets are good examples of this, and in health and care, there is a company called health-on-line that use the AXA PPP insurance product.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your revision.
