Warming up for April!

Discussion in 'CT4' started by Southern Butterfly, Oct 25, 2005.

  1. I've finally ordered my new study material for the April CT4 and CT5 exams. While I'm waiting for it as well as for the exam results, I'm hoping that I can get some tips from those of you who have sat any of these exams before. What works, what doesn't work? What should I look out for? What do you wish someone would have told you before you wrote the exams?

Good luck for your results! ;)

I agree, and you're lucky because CT5 has become easier (no more Manchester Unity etc.) Nevertheless, it will most probably still be a pain to get through the first chapters becasue they are so boring. But it gets better as from chapter 3 or 4.

But yes, do lots of questions. Doing this kind of depressing calculating probabilites of death should become second nature. It is only then, when you start getting this morbid sense of humour, that you're ready to be an actuary
