Hello, where should I be checking for updates on this? Is there a IOA website dedicated to this exam?
You know as much as we do! https://www.actuaries.org.uk/studying/curriculum-2019 would be the obvious place to check. There's a FAQ on there (but no answer to your question), and there's an IFoA contact address for further queries...
Page 2 of the below document suggests there will be a P2 https://www.actuaries.org.uk/documents/syllabus-2019 I say 'suggests' since it appears to be quite an old document. It is difficult to tell what exactly is current or final on the IFoA website...
Thanks for posting. It would be nice to be able to get the materials and just get on with it.....What benefits does P2 offer?
I have received confirmation from IOA that the UKPM are not chaning for 2019. Does ACTED offer any study materials for P2?
I understand that the syllabus for 2019 has not yet been published at the IFOA: https://www.actuaries.org.uk/studyi...e/fellowshipassociateship/uk-practice-modules However, what kind of materials were available for 2018? I don't know much about this exam.
There is core reading for P0 (which is tested along with P2 or whichever practice module you choose), as well as multiple choice practice booklets for P0 and P2. If you ask Acted they'll send you an order form for 2018 materials I think.
Thanks for the info. The IFOA has not yet published 2019 syllabus and ActEd is waiting to hear about any potential changes to P0. However, IFOA has confirmed (to me by email) here is no changes for 2019. So the situation is slightly confusing whether to purchase the materials now or to wait a few weeks/ months? Do I need to be an FIA first before registering for P2? Still waiting for exam results in December.
I believe you can do the PM whenever, there are no prerequisites. So you could do it before the end of the year. Though not sure what happens in 2019 as you say.
Hi, can I please check how soon are the results published? Maybe immediately after the exam since it is a multiple choice computer based exam? Please let me know how PM work?
