Indexation on Assets with a loss

    Hi,
    I have this general question regarding indexation of assets.
    Is indexation limited only to capital gain or can it be done on a capital loss as well? Even though it would increase the loss amount further, but it would also help in reducing the amount liable for capital gain tax (provided offsetting is allowed).

    Indexation of losses is generally not allowed. See Example 12.9 of the 2016 materials (Chapter 12, page 15).
