In an exam question how can you know when you are building the Multiple Decrement table on Unit Linked Contract you can assume that \[q_{x}=(aq)_{x}^{d}\].? Thanks Hernan
My understanding is that when surrender can only occur at the end of the year then the above can be assumed as death is the only decrement throughout the year. If surrender is possible during the year then dependent forces must be calculated as there is now 2 decrements acting.
