Is there any difference between GNP and GNI?

    According to Wiki:
The GNI is similar to the gross national product (GNP), except that in measuring the GNP one does not deduct the indirect business taxes.????

However, I thought whether it incl indirect tax/subsidy or not depends if it's at basic price (excl) or market price(incl)

    Thanks

    Hi.

As far as we're concerned in CT7, Gross National Income (GNI) and Gross National Product (GNP) are the same. As the Core Reading suggests on p23 of Chapter 12 of the Course Notes, "Gross National Income (previously called Gross National Product or GNP) ...

So this is what you should say in the exam.

    Good luck!
