    Hi All,

I tried to book exam counselling for my latest fail and the IFoA said that they have implemented a new rule this year that you can only get the exam counselling if it is your last exam before qualifying.
I really don't understand the logic to this - if a person has managed to get to their very last written exam then surely they have their exam technique pretty much down.
Even if this is to do with too much demand would it not make more sense to give it to students who are new to the written exams rather than the ones who are basically at the finish line?

More students at the start than at the end.

I guess they are targeting students who are struggling to clear their last exam - I think it happens quite a lot, especially with CA/P3. At least we have SARs now.

I would say it's probably due to lack of resources. But remember you can always view your exam paper and take along the solutions to find out what errors you made.
