Embedded value basis

    Why must embedded value basis be "best estimate"?
    I see in chapter 18 page 15 it is said that EV basis is more likely to be best estimate.

    Hi Phani,

    I think it is more to do with for which purpose it is calculated. If it is calculated for publishing in accounts, internal management & control or for giving incentives to senior management (in the form of remuneration) then it should be on best estimate basis.
