So people are being failed on an exam to communicate material that is not examinable by IFoA and is highly unlikely to ever be required of an actuary in the workplace. Cryptocurrencies are not admissible assets, end of story.

And there we go the minute someone replies you have a go at the IFoA.
You have already passed this subject yet want to have a pop at them at every chance.

You say it's highly unlikely - that is your opinion - doesn't mean it's right. - a simple search on google and you'll find many studies about cryptocurrencies for the real world and actuaries and the problems facing them. It's question that is being asked especially as an asset in the pension world. Trustees of pension schemes ask the questions.

It's a communication exam - about the material you received prior to the exam - there is no advantage or disadvantage to anyone.

Communicating material that is not found in the core syllabus... clear disadvantage compared to those at uni who can choose their topic and prepare well in advance, or indeed those who sat this exam previously and were asked to communicate material that was found in the core syllabus.

There is nothing stopping you or anyone else going back to college and doing the exam that way if you want to.
People at uni may say they are at a disadvantage as they don't have real life experience when answering questions for some of the ST subjects - but they don't complain about it - they accept it was their choice to sit the exams that way.

You have chip on your shoulder with the IFoA and want to have a pop at every opportunity you can. Do you ever give positive feedback to posters that doesn't involve giving out about the IfoA?

No doubt you will reply back to me saying xyz, as you just cannot let it go.

You may not have noticed the huge volume of complaints about CA3/CP3 over the years as documented in the student consultative forum minutes. I suppose you think all those people have chips on their shoulders too. Or maybe they're just right.

Quite a lot actually and the point you're missing is that standards should be applied equally, there should be no easier route to overcoming this exam.
