I think Almost there sums it up nicely. A university education will do. What more do you realistically need? Why do the IFOA now say that the chartered actuary is sufficient? Why did the Kingman Review tell the IFOA to effectively reduce their examination requirements? Memorizing mnemonics is just not a useful skill. The education system was and still is completely irrelevant and generally not required. The only reason it remains in existence is to support the well being of those that work at ACTED and the IFOA
