It has come to our notice that students in India are having difficulties obtaining the 6th edition of the textbook. Although it is preferable to have the later edition of the textbook, the difference in content between the two editions is fairly minor – the main one being some updating to reflect economic events, in particular the credit crisis. In addition, the differences are unlikely to be reflected in the exam paper. Helpfully, the chapters numbers used in the two editions are identical. Consequently, the chapters referred to in the current (2014) ActEd Course Notes are correct for both editions of the textbook, although the page numbers referred to are those in the 6th edition, which do differ from those in the 5th edition.
