Hi, I'm planning to do my SP8 exam in April 2024. What do you recommend as pre-requisite reading material from previous exams? I have started reading through the material and a quick skim of chapter 11 covers statistical models and concepts that I've not covered in quite some time. What particular topics should I focus reading up on so I can have a better understanding of the material in SP8?

    Hi Anmol

I wouldn't worry until you get there. Get stuck into SP8 nice and early when the time comes, and if you find an area that you're rusty on (eg GLMs or aggregate claims distributions), you can brush up on these as you need to. There's nothing too onerous, particularly if you've done the earlier exams already.
Don't forget that the CMP for the April 2024 exams may differ from that for the 2023 exams a little, so you'll need updated materials when they become available. A free upgrade will be available on our website later this year.
