State six reasons…

One for anyone who’s been involved in the marking process. Sorry if it’s been asked and answered.

If a question in an SA or SP exam asks us to state “six reasons for X”

-What happens if we state seven and they’re all correct?
-What happens if we state seven and one is wrong?
-What happens if we state 13 and three are wrong?

Cheers
Pete

Not involved either, but my 2c
Firstly I don't believe a question would be worded in such a way.
It may say "state advantages" (i.e. ignore disadvantages), but I would be surprised if there's been a question before asking for a specific no. of reasons.
Given that; in the 3 examples given I would assume you would lose marks for not having answered the question correctly.

Actually, Mavvj is correct! And yes, there have been plenty of past questions asking for a specific number of something.

One thing that may happen is you may waste time writing thirteen points but I am glad there is no penalty for wrong points.
