Hi, I am aware that the CP3 exam is meant to test our communication skills which includes the suitable level of formality. Can I ask if informal parts of the exam script is necessary? For example in the 2006 April CA3 paper, we were asked to write a letter to a friend explaining some saving funds. Does the letter formats count as words? eg: "Dear Mark, Thanks for your letter sounds as if your holiday was excellent. ... I look forward to seeing some of your holiday photos next time we meet. Cheers, Martin" I know including these makes it more like a casual letter, but I am worried about the word counts. In fact, if I imagine a fully written letter format, it should include the recipient's home address which includes even more words. Will we lose mark if we ignore the letter formats and go straight into the content even if it is in informal wordings to a friend?
