Hello,

Apologies if this has been asked before - I couldn't find a thread upon searching.

In the model solution for this question ("Cheapest driver first (650)" sheet), why is the minimum number of parcels not applied to driver III - e.g. in simulation 2 driver III is set to deliver 13 parcels (vs 0 when the total maximum is 550). This is below their minimum of 75? In my solution these 13 parcels were delivered by driver V (who picks up any excess).

Thanks

Hi

You are correct that there was an issue with this spreadsheet model and how it applied the minimum deliveries. The 'Cheapest driver first' worksheet appears to apply the rule correctly, but the other worksheets seem to have 'lost' the required clause to apply the minimum.

The examiners did comment on this error in the Examiners' Report which you can find on the IFoA website. Sounds like your solution would have been fine :)

Kind regards
Sarah
