Overlap between SA2 and SP2

Hi

I am from a pensions background and have recently joined a life insurer and am thinking about sitting SP2 with SA2 for my next exam sitting.
I am only just developing my understanding of life insurance so expect SP2 to be quite a lot of work for me, so i'm hesitant over sitting both exams together if the course content of the exams is largely different.

lf anyone has sat SA2 previously, please would you be able to let me know how much overlap there is between SP2 and SA2 as far as the course content is concerned?

Thanks

Waleed

Hi Waleed
SP2 is a prerequisite for SA2, so the Core Reading is not necessarily covered in both but SP2 knowledge is assumed for SA2.
Therefore you will need to make sure you are comfortable with this knowledge before you can really give SA2 a good shot.
It is difficult to advise and it will depend on how comfortable you are with this knowledge.
If you are novice to life insurance then it will definitely be a lot of work.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck with the rest of your studies.
Thanks
Em
