Difference between memo and email format

    Hello

    There are three queries:
    1. What is difference between format of email and memo (Sep 2019)?

    2. Also, the solution in examiner report in Apr 2018 has not mentioned 'thanks for writing an email' in the beginning of reply here. Just wanted to confirm is it normal or is there any specific reason regarding the same?

    3. Apr 2019 (Q1 Solution) - The writer has not used the statement in the end - 'Please let me know if you have any questions'. Is such statement not required in the drafting of 'paper' (format)?

    Thanks in advance

    1. not a lot of difference, the same layout should suffice for both

    2. an acknowledgement of the initial communication is normal and generally considered polite.

    3. you should offer further help. "Please let me know if you have further questions" may not be appropriate in all cases eg in a paper such as this one, but some suitable form of signposting to further information or additional support is good practice
