    Hi

Thank you for your email expressing your concerns about COVID-19 and its effects on the April 2020 exams.

The IFoA exams teams and management are working their hardest to do what they can in this unprecedented situation and we want to ensure we have done all we can and explored all avenues before we announce the final decision.

A further communication is expected by the end of the day.

We thank you for your patience at this worrying time.

Let's see when the communication arrives. Much clarity will come with it.

Also, it's really an unprecedented situation. Many companies who did not have a business continuity plan in place took a big hit in their finances and their business. Better to be safe than sorry!

Does not look likely. It is a disgrace if not, especially since they have been emailing that out to students today.

Hopefully their CoB extends further into the day. At the moment I'm assuming they close shop at 5pm

The last email we got from them with an update was on the 19th March at 6.55pm, so hopefully one will still come at some point this evening.

Fingers crossed for an end to this excruciating wait.

Serious question, when the announcement happens, should we trust their first or second draft?

I was studying until they posted this last week. Why don't they just tell and get done with it? This wait game is not helping at all. In today's time when it's required to act fast, they are pretty slow. I hope they postpone the exams. I am not sure if I can give an SP online.

Since my country shut all schools and universitites i havne't done anything - given that we wouldn't have an exam centre - waste of tiem emailing the IFoA - really is.

Let's face it - realitically the only option they have is to cancel this sitting - they can't push the exam to June/July with any guarantee that they will go ahead, and even if they were too - you wouldn't get your results to near september as they are forever harping on about how long it takes to correct the papers.

Highly unlikely to be getting an update now. Yet another dissapointing day from the IFOA especially given the communication with student stating specifically an update would be given today.

You have got to give it to the IFoA.

They are the masters at "not giving a ...."

    Evidence:

    1. Delay, delay delay.

    2. Misleading communications "next week", "this week", "today".

    3. Reserving the right to cancel up to 48 hours before exam.

    4. Exam halls being shut by the government and them still saying the written examinations will be going ahead.

These guys aren't just good, they're real good!

This is becoming more of a joke now. -.-

I can't help but feel that at this rate, this will all blow over by the time a decision is finally made.

Either cancel, postpone or proceed. Just make a decision and move on.

    Too much umming and ahhing..
