CS1> Chapter 6> Answer to Q 6.10

  1. Friends, I just want to know if there is an issue with the solution to Q. 6.10 in Chapter 6. While considering the mean and variance in 1000's, I think in the solution, variance is wrongly considered as 10 & 5 ofr x & y respectively. Don't u think, variance should be computed as (10000x10000)/10x1000 for variance of x and (5000x5000)/10x1000 for variance of Y?

I feel either the answer is incorrect or in the question the word "standard deviation"should be replaced by "Variance".

I'm not sure which version of the CS1 course you're using but it's not 2019 or 2020, which makes it hard for any student to help you.
Might be worth putting a photo of the question and solution.
