Failing by 1 mark

I am an ASSA student member, I failed CT4 by 1 mark for the second time. Can anyone advise me on the channels to follow to get remark or review or recount. Thank you in advance.

I would also recommend submitting a Subject Access Request by emailing Education.Services@actuaries.org.uk as then you can make sure your paper was definitely marked 3 times (as it should have been because it was so close to the pass mark).

I don’t think it makes a difference if it’s marked several times. You’ll find numerous people on the forum questioning the marking and huge differences between markers.

The marking is done by people who are no educational experts and get pittance.

 

Are they still concealing their documented marking processes, mark adjustments methodologies and so on from students?

 

Yes and people like annuitydue come on here and defend them.

By concealing their documented processes they are inhibiting students and others from scrutinising their handling. There is no good reason for it.
