Signposting system (Ch 14 - Legislation)

    Hi,

    Could someone please explain what ’signposting system’ means? It was mentioned in p14 - paragraph 3 of Ch14.

    This means that if an insurer isn't able to offer a product to a particular customer, it should have a system in place where it can suggest another insurer who may be able to help this person with a suitable product. This happens in many areas of financial services where someone may need specialist advice/products that not everyone offers.
