    Hello

I am wondering whether the two attached expressions are both correct?

I seem to get confused about minor differences in notation.

Would anyone be able to confirm?

    Thank you

  2. Yes these both can be used interchangably.
    P(Kx =k)= kPx*qx+k,probability that x survives k years before death
    P(Kx = n)=nPx*qx+n,probability that x survives n years before death.

Also in both we sum accordingly.
