    Is it true that insurance companies are moving towards R and Python? Is Python or R is the future of the insurance industry?

    The basics of programming and algorithms is a must.
    Due to massive success to the MOOCs the platforms like edx and Coursera are flooded with high quality data science, analytics etc courses that specifically focuses on R and python.

    To install the python I would suggest you to install Anaconda it includes installation of python, spyder IDE, Jupyter Notebook along with modules that are specially meant for data science
