CV: include summary/profile or not?

Hi all,
I would like to advice regarding the best actuarial CV.
Do you think a summary or profile intro should be included in the CV or not? (I have experience and qualification I can mention there so it's just a question of adding value through it or not?)
Some agents are suggesting it's key, but some are saying it's not needed nowadays (because it's like repeating yourself).

Thank you

I'd say it's key, because you can highlight there the general items of skills and experience you have pertinent to the role you are applying for. If they like that then they dig into the cv for the when and detail of your experience. Every long report has an executive summary so why should your cv be any different?
