    Not sure how you set the H0 and H1 values.

    I think you can use the chi-square test using 2-way contingency table

    \(H_0=0.47 \) is good for part 1

    but for part 2 I agree with Bapan.

    I confess I went for comparing two proportions for candidate B. However that doesn't take into account the differing proportions of candidates A and C.

    So a contingency table test is what you go for.
