Do the certifications help actuaries? Is there some recognition for SAS certifications in the industry?

For instance, there is an enormous recognition for SAS certs in the analytics industry (higher perks/refund of fees/ promotions/etc)

Please do give me your thoughts and opinions.

Not sure about the perks in Analytic industry. I have worked in the same for 7 years, and haven't seen anyone moving up the ladder just because he has a SAS cert.

+1

SAS certification only add value when someone is working in BI and wants to move companies.

Most companies I know are pretty flexible with their programming language requirement - and don't expect a fresher to know SAS.
