Can we just use R or graphics calculator functions to calculate, say, probabilities from distributions (instead of tables/formulas), or for calculating means/variances/etc of a given sample? Or are we expected to show working for how we calculate that sort of thing?
The examiners have made it very clear that working needs to be shown to receive all the marks. For distributions, you should also only use R/Excel to do the final step. For example, the standard normal probability that you would have used the tables for, rather than using rnorm for the original normal distribution.
