Alternatively you can order by fax/post, please click here for the Materials Application form and click here for the Tutorial Application form.

If you are a South African student, click here to find out how to order study materials or here for information on tutorials.

If you are not sure which products to order, we have further guidance on our Help and Advice for New Students page.

Completing the forms

Your ActEd Student Number
Please note that in order to make su
re that all orders can be processed as efficiently as possible, you will need to enter your ActEd Student Number on the application forms. Your ActEd Student Number is shown on personal correspondence from ActEd. It is not the same as your Actuarial Reference Number (ARN) used by the profession. If you are a new student to ActEd, then an ActEd Student Number will be allocated when we process your application. There is no problem in submitting an application without an ActEd Student Number. However, If you state "New student" at the top of your faxed/posted application form, this will help us to process your application swiftly.

Your address details
Please let us know of any changes to your address or other correspondence details so that we can amend our records accordingly. We need to be informed independently of the Faculty and Institute. This is important so that we can contact you as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Your email address
Your email address is very important, as we send order confirmations via email wherever possible.

Ad-hoc emails
We occasionally send ad-hoc emails to students to inform them about developments relating to their studies, for example, updates to course materials, availability of new products. There is a section on the order form you can tick if you do not wish to receive such correspondence.

Equal opportunities
If you have a learning disability and/or learning difficulty and/or health problem which you would like us to be aware of. Please see the reverse of the application forms for more details. Once you have completed the form, someone from ActEd will contact you to establish what additional support we can provide for you.

Ordering Paper Products Before Tutorials

As our tutorials are based around the course notes and therefore require students to have worked through some or all of the current course before each tutorial, you should order your courses before or at the same time as registering on tutorials. If you order tutorials before paper products, your application may be delayed while we try to contact you to advise you of the situation.

Invoicing and payment

Please pay by cheque (to IFE Ltd) or debit or credit card when you place your order unless your company has pre-arranged payment facilities with ActEd. For debit or credit card payments you can order and pay online using our secure estore, or complete the box at the bottom of the application forms and ensure that you have given your home address on the same form.

Invoices to be settled by your employer will be addressed to you personally at your office address unless your employer has already authorised the use of its company account for your order. If you would like us to address these invoices differently, please give details on the reverse of the application forms. Please provide your company's requisition number, if applicable, when you place your order. If invoices are not settled within 30 days we may block future orders and/or prevent you from using on-going services (eg marking and tutorials) without offering any refund.

Please see the reverse of the application forms for more details.

For tutorials you will receive an invoice for your tutorial place shortly after the relevant finalisation date.

Security

You can order and pay online using our secure estore, alternatively, you can download an application form and fax this to us instead.

Three or four-digit security code
If you wish to provide your debit/credit card details, you will need to include the security code for that card. This is a unique three or four-digit number printed on your debit/credit card. The code is not embossed on the card; therefore, it cannot be printed on receipts.

Most UK-issued cards, have a three-digit number printed at the top of the signature strip on the reverse of the card. This is your security number or CV2 number.

Other cards, like American Express, have a four-digit number printed on the front of the card, above the account number.

Orders for Paper, Marking & Electronic products
When you place your order online using the estore you will receive an automatic confirmation email. Your order will be checked and processed as soon as possible, after which you will receive a second email to update you on your order.
