eBook Combined Materials Packs (CMPs)

ActEd's Combined Material Packs (CMPs) are now available in eBook format, enabling them to be downloaded and read on your PC or laptop.

This exciting new option is:

• Portable - enabling you to study on the move
• Space saving
• Easy to navigate - for example you can search an eBook for words or phrases
• Easy to annotate with your own comments.

It may also have additional appeal for those who live outside the UK, where paper CMP despatch costs are higher and delivery times longer.

CMP eBooks can be ordered separately or as an addition to a paper CMP.

ActEd eBooks are in rights-protected PDF format and are read using the free Adobe Digital Editions software. You can access an ActEd eBook on up to 6 authorised devices, including for example your work computer, you personal computer and an iPad.

When you order an ActEd eBook you will receive an electronic "token" which will enable you to download your eBook to your PC or laptop. More details can be found at

Is the eBook format for me?

If you want to check what a CMP eBook looks like on your PC or laptop, before you place an order, then a PDF of a sample of pages from the CA1 CMP is available for download here. We'd particularly recommend that you do this if you're planning to use your ActEd eBook on a device with a relatively small screen, eg a notebook, tablet or compatible eReader, rather than a desktop or laptop.

CMP eBooks cost the same as the equivalent paper CMPs (except that VAT is added for orders from within the EU). However, if the CMP eBook is ordered as an addition to the same version of the paper CMP in a subject, the additional charge is only £20 + VAT (in all subjects).

Ordering

CMP eBooks can be ordered from our online store or by filling in an order form.  You will then receive two emails: one confirming your order and a second containing your electronic “token” enabling you to download your CMP eBook.
